Books derived from film and TV properties have always found a vibrant market, and the burgeoning ebook marketplace presents a new and vastly expanded set of opportunities: publishing on a much larger scale, without inventory costs, and publishing without a far larger set of potential partners/service providers, or even publishing directly.
Now any network, studio, producer, screenwriter, or agent can use the ebook marketplace as a tool to grow audience and deliver revenue. Publishers Launch Hollywood is a full-day event that provides both the strategic understanding and the specific information anyone with entertainment-driven intellectual property needs to make ebooks, put them into distribution, and market them for maximum effectiveness.
Programming will include multiple studios and networks that are already exploiting this new opportunities. Traditional publishing players and new intermediaries alike will also be on hand to address the new and expanded partnerships they can provide to the Hollywood community.
Publishers Launch Hollywood is presented in partnership with F+W Media and StoryWorld Conference + Expo. StoryWorld focuses on the new frontier of transmedia storytelling, gathering participants from across film, publishing, gaming, television and more. This year, the event will be held alongside the Screenwriters World Conference and Writer’s Digest Conference West, October 17 -21 at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
