Patricia Arancibia is in charge of the acquisition of international digital content at Barnes & Noble, where she manages the relations with international corporations, publishers, and governmental agencies. Patricia was previously the Merchandising Manager in charge of eBooks, Nonfiction Books, and Libros en español at B&N.com, where she launched the eBooks Store and Libros en español online. She grew up in Buenos Aires, where she earned a degree in Communication Sciences and a Masters in Journalism, and went from reporter to senior editor in newspapers, magazines, TV, and websites. In New York, Patricia received a masters in Publishing at NYU, and became a book, ecommerce & digital business person.

Beat Barblan serves as Director of Identifier Services at RR Bowker. He is responsible for such identifier asset management and discoverability solutions as ISBN, ISTC, ISNI and DOI. Bowker is a business unit of ProQuest. Mr. Barblan joined Bowker in 2007 as Product Manager for the company’s Supply Chain business, overseeing new development and maintenance for Pubnet and PubEasy, the publishing industry’s premier electronic ordering tools, and PubEasySchool, the new Bowker K12 product. Prior to joining Bowker, Mr. Barblan was Sr. Product Manager at Wolters Kluwer / Ovid where he helped launch the OvidSP platform.

Riccardo Cavallero has been the General Manager of the Mondadori Group’s Trade Books Division since January 2010. He joined Mondadori in 1995 as Marketing Director for books and two years later was appointed General Manager of the Group’s Grijalbo publishing house and, in 2000, Director of Mondadori Books. The following year the Random House Mondadori joint-venture was established for which Cavallero was appointed Managing Director, initially based in New York and then, from 2004, in Barcelona.

Santiago de la Mora is the Director of Print Content Partnerships for Google in Europe, Middle East and Africa and as such he and his team manage Google’s relationships with large and strategic partners in the book publishing industry as well as those with newspaper and magazine publishers. Mr. de la Mora joined Google in early 2006 when the Google Books roll out in Europe was ramping up. Prior to Google, he spent 6 years in content production and sales on behalf of newspapers and magazines, operating out of Spain. He also has banking experience having worked at Société Générale in their International Risk and Investment Banking divisions. Mr. de la Mora holds an MBA from INSEAD as well as a B.A. in Political Science from Yale and a M.A. in International Policy Studies from Stanford.

Kelly Gallagher serves as VP of Publishing Services at RR Bowker. In this role he manages the implementation of a host of Bowker business intelligence services, including the PubTrack consumer research panel reaching over 40,000 ‘e’ and ‘p’ book consumers. For the past year, he has been leading a team of researchers on a three-year initiative for the Book Industry Study Group to study consumer attitudes toward e-devices and digital content. This long-term trended study looks at consumer purchases on a quarterly basis as it seeks to understand the rate and shift to digital content. In addition to managing the consumer research panel, he oversees sales data collection and analytics tools for the higher education and religious book markets for Bowker. Beyond his role at Bowker, Kelly also serves as Research Chair for the BISG.

Stephen Page began his career in bookselling before moving into publishing. In 1994 he joined Fourth Estate, becoming Managing Director in 2000. In 2001 he joined Faber as CEO and in 2006 Faber was named Publisher of the Year followed by Indpendent Publisher of the Year in 2011. He has been President of the Publishers’ Association and gave the keynote address for World Book Day in 2007. He frequently writes and speaks on industry issues, especially the effects of fast-moving technological developments on authors and publishing.

Most recently, Michael was the founding CEO of the supply chain agency BookNet Canada, where he launched the national sales reporting service BNC SalesData and authored the publishing technology call-to-arms, “Six Projects That Could Change Publishing for the Better.”
Michael has a Masters in Business Administration from University of Western Ontario.
