Karina has worked at Penguin for 11 of her 18 years in the publishing industry. She has spent the last 3 years managing their digital & data supply chain, and has been focussed on digital transition.
Karina is passionate about all things operational, specifically metadata and the digital supply chain and she brings experience from previous roles to her current position. Previous roles have included international sales/rights, customer operations, stock management and the physical supply chain.
Karina and her team are responsible for ensuring all ebooks are successfully delivered to new and existing digital partners and they they’re made available across the market place for Penguin Group (UK). They also manage the delivery of metadata for all Penguin and DK products (physical and digital), ensuring Penguin’s primary internal system (Biblio 3) is ONIX compliant.
Since taking on her current role Karina, with the help of her team, has improved Penguin’s metadata performance. She’s currently working on migrating Penguin to ONIX3.0.
